Vancouver Startup Week 2018

A must-attend event for founders trying to make connections in the city while rounding out their founding team members.

One of the most frustrating things about startups is finding a decent co-founder. The purpose of this event is to form introductions to that classic two-person startup team - someone with coding skills and someone with business skills. This event is aimed at tech startups in the web/mobile space. The format is classic speed-dating rapid-fire introductions to 10 other founders (who are opposite to your either technical or business specialty) followed by food, drinks and networking.

All Techstars Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model:
- Anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers.
- Teams form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and embark on a three-day frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation.
- The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback!
